Another advantage of online shopping is that there is a greater variety of products. As noted above, it is easier to browse through the products that are offered online as opposed to visiting a physical store. Buying products online is usually cheaper as compared to buying from a store. For physical stores, there are several factors that one needs to put into consideration like rent and rates, a higher number of store attendants, security costs, to mention but a few. All this will at the end of the day inflate the cost of running a store which will consequently have to be factored in the cost of an item. For online stores, not much is required.
There are however some disadvantages that come with buying goods online which a user needs to be aware of. Buying things online carries a high chance of receiving goods that are different from what was ordered. They may also be of poor quality than expected. Again, buying online will expose to possible fraud and loss of money through hacking especially when the website is not secure. Online shopping also kills the human connectivity that is usually found in physical stores. It isolates one from the world since they don’t have to leave their houses to get what they want.
